Raw Food Detox DietWhy do we need to detox?

Eating raw foods is not just a great way to ‘feed’ your body with amazing variety of nutrients and provide your body with what it needs to achieve optimum health, its also one of the best ways to support the bodies natural detoxification process and help it to remove toxins and impurities.

Even if we eat a relativity ‘clean’ diet we are still exposed to up to 2000 different toxins each and every day. There are toxins in our water, in the air, in the foods that we eat. There are even toxins in the non-stick coatings on your frying pan and the flame retardant coatings on your sofa.

Our bodies are constantly working to process and remove these toxins and actually does a great job, however the liver simply isn’t able to cope with this onslaught especially when combined with a modern, stressful and busy lifestyle.

This can cause toxins to backup and become stagnant, which in turn can affect energy levels, digestion, sleeping, weight problems and a whole range of other health issues.

A detox diet provides the body with the nutrients it needs to effectively remove toxins and impurities and support the liver and other organs to do their job well. A good detox will restore your bodies natural balance and you’ll notice increased energy levels, weight loss, improved digestion, sharper mental focus and more.

What is a raw food detox?

Smoothie DetoxThere are lots of cleansing products out there and whilst some can be helpful, most of them are simply not required. You can get everything you need from a fantastic raw food detox diet.

You do not want to put your body through a harsh colon cleanse, as these strip the body of nutrients and place unnecessary stress on the body.

By eating a variety of delicious cleansing raw foods which have properties that support the bodies natural detoxification processes you’ll be able to deal with the root cause of the issue and bring your body back in to balance for the long term.

A raw food detox diet is very simple, low cost, easy to follow and focuses on getting long term results.
